Education Programs at Old York

Children experience reading from an early primer The Museums of Old York currently offers a variety of programs for children K-8 ranging in length from 90 minutes to four hours. Our talented staff engage students in well-researched, hands-on lessons and activities relating to daily life in York during the 18th and 19th centuries.

Students can spin, learn hearth cooking, engage in barter, go to a one-room school house, learn about maritime trade, explore the connection between the town and York River and tour historic buildings. This web page is currently under revision, so until the new page is available, contact the Education Director for more information about the specific programs we offer, content, length and cost.
